High Fidelity (2000)

It’s brilliant, being depressed; you can behave as badly as you like.
It’s no good pretending that any relationship has a future if your record collections disagree violently or if your favourite films wouldn’t even speak to each other if they met at a party.

"... That other girl, or the other women, whatever, I was thinking that they're just fantasies, you know, and they always seem really great because they never cause problems, or not important problems, ..." "But they have cotton underwear too..." "It's all fantasy, it doesn't really exist..." "The real person is the one you have everyday by your side, the one that has cool lingerie and cotton underwear, the one that you have really important problems with. Problems caused because she loves you and cares about you. And that's nice" (High Fidelity and I)
